    ALR forum now sexy

americanlongrifles.org is working fine. americanlongrifles.com. takes you to the Indonesian naughty site, but it apparently isn't free and requires a login so don't waste your time

    Voting sign target frames

Me too, but the sensitive S.O.Bs get all testy if you shoot them before the election

Acetone/AutoTrans Fluid - Tested to be THE BEST thread penetrating solution going!

When I tried it; it would separate if left sitting overnight. It also ate up every sprayer I tried it in. Maybe the old atf worked better but to me it isn't worth the hassle; if Liquid Wrench won't get it I break out the smoke wrench.

Can you guys school me on grades of Hawkens? Quality, value, etc.

I like the lines of the Great Plains Rifle above any of the other rifles called Hawkens.

    Kibler Brown Bess?

I have to wonder just how many customers he has. CNC isn't cheap, and multiple just compounds the matter. It must be higher demand than we would think. After all, not every fan of traditionally styled longrifles is here yakking about how much they love them. For every one of us I imagine there's...

Patched Ball Accuracy in Repro Springfield Rifled Muskets

I don't think you can find a projectile that will ricochet worse than a round ball.

    Kibler Brown Bess?

That right there would be a huge secondary benefit. 10 months ago I had no idea his company existed; now I'd like to have one of everything he offers.

    Pedersoli Brown Bess ?’s

Dave Person's thread about the Pedersoli kits, and The Rifle Shoppe's reputation for wait times has just about put a Bess off my wish list. If you're going to make one; it's back on. Especially since coming from you everyone knows it'll be high quality, easy, and historically accurate.

This simple idea was and still is genius.

Didn't even *the ones we're not discussing* use caps at one point? I remember most of them having No. 11 nipples. 209 was a big thing ~20 years ago.

    Drill Cloth = FantasticI

You can sign up for email notification for when it's available, presumably for shipping. I did, so we'll see.

    Drill Cloth = FantasticI

Has anyone found something similar at a different retailer? One that will actually ship stuff or have it in stock?

    Kibler Customer Service

My lock had developed a weird two stage trigger pull. Half an hour after calling on a Thursday i had a return label. I dropped it in the mail Friday and had it back the following Thursday with all new internals. Great people. I can't wait until I can afford another.

To Bounce or not to Bounce

Higher velocity spends less time in the barrel. Recoil begins as soon as the projectile begins accelerating, so the slower round is going to have more muzzle rise before the ball leaves the barrel.
