    Woodsrunner CNC Incised Carving

I did not intend to insult anyone when I said I would not buy another carved rifle. I am not into the history of the guns. I hunt with them, Hogs mostly. All I was saying Is that I prefer the sleek look of a smooth stock .

    Kibler Fowler available.

for what it is worth….. you sold at least one 16 gauge fowler because you offered it in extra fancy maple. I can’t imagine caring about the gun having a period. This is my 3rd Kibler. I buy them to hunt with. It will end up with a semi gloss finish and a deep blue barrel and lock. The only...

    Woodsrunner CNC Incised Carving

I am in the same boat. I wish I had spent my money on a prettier piece of wood rather than a carved stock.

What is it that pulls us into muzzle loading!

For me it is just to make hunting more challenging and they are pretty. For over 50 years I was able to hunt all over the world with some beautiful Black Widow recurves. Old age caught up with me and I just can’t hunt with a recurve and compounds don’t do anything for me. A flintlock built on a...

New to smooth bores. What is the best way to carry shot in the woods? do you measure it in a powder measure?

    Awfully quiet over at Kiblers.

Ha i guess I was on “The List” ….. I just ordered one I have been playing with BP rifles for 60 years but have never messed with a shotgun. So many questions. Best way to carry loose shot for reloads? Best way to measure shot to reload in the woods and on an on

54 caliber, not so odd any more?

I guess it just depended on where you were at. my first BP rifle was a .54 renegade somewhere around 1970

    Woodsrunner in Extra Fancy Maple

I just finished a carved woodsrunner in cherry. If I had it to do over again, I would not buy a craved stock. I never, I mean never use oil on any of my BP rifles. I have always used bear grease inside and out. It is a pain in the rear to wipe the gun down and keep the grease out of the carving

    .54 Woodsrunner suggestions

My .54 woodsrunner shoots as tight a group as I can see to shoot it. The first load I tried is the one I have been using for 30 years in another .54. The first five shots out of the new rifle went into one ragged hole, so I have never tried anything else. 535 round ball, .010 patch with a lubed...

    Thoughts when buying a gun

Any tips to make a muzzleloader “sure-fire”

I never use any oil on my rifles, ever. After I clean it i dry it well and run a patch with bear grease on it. The next day I run another through it and make sure I can hear ir breathing through the nipple or flash hole. When I get ready to hunt, I run a couple of dry patches, making sure I can...
