    Thanks! Northern Nevada about 6500' I had a jacket on till I heard him coming. It did warm up to the mid 80s though in the afternoon. Good breeze.

    Worked for me. Solid rifle, a little heavy (now that i'm 70 with a torn rotator, everything is heavy!) but very nice light double set trigger let-off.

    Yep,.... plus, I just enjoy sneakin' around in the bushes. I used to bow hunt but completely tore my shoulder. I get another muzzleloader chance for deer in Sept.

    Had a good solo hunt a couple of days ago. Fortunate to still be able to do it at 70 yrs old. Only about a 45 yard shot with 90 gr, ff and a roundball. Flopped him. Liver tonight!

    I have a scope too, but I would have bought a pair of 12 or 15X binoculars to put on a tripod first for all-around range and hunting use if I had known how bad sitting on a hill out west for hours at a time looking through a scope sucks.
