What the heck, rust?
What happened here? After shooting half a dozen shots with Pyrodex, I swabbed the bore with some lubed patches before leaving the range. Once I got home I swabbed the bore with four T17 lubed patches (I flipped them over and used both sides). Between the 3rd and 4th patch I ran a .54cal brush...- Budwell

Hello from SW Ohio
Hello All, My intro to BP was when I built a Lyman Great Plains .54 over Christmas in about 1992 because I didn't get a deer during deer shotgun season. Hunted off and on with that in the early years and then a Traditions Pursuit .50. Later I started loading BP into .45-70 for a Pedersoli 1874...- Budwell
