Swedish locks usually featured a dog catch on the lock up until the 19th Century.

    What is this musketty thing?

The side plate, trigger guard, and butt plate could be French, however the lock, stock and barrel may not be.

    Loading from the pouch?

Wow! You are lucky. I load my rifles in the 18th Century military fashion. I place the rifle butt on the ground outside of my left foot with the barrel away from me . I use a measure attached to my horn, and pour the black powder into the barrel. I use a precut patch and a .01 undersized ball...

Am I the only one who doesn’t really care for carving on a rifle stock?

I like well done traditional relief carving, but not so much on extra fancy wood. In my opinion the CNC incised carving on the Woodsrunner is alright, except for that which is on either side of the comb. The rest can be enhanced with some judicious relief carving.

Who among us are PIPE smokers?

I smoked a pipe 55 years ago! I liked the smell of cherry blends, but mainly I did it just as a diversion. It was a pain to keep them lit. I still have my collection of pipes for some reason. Probably some old stale tobacco as well!

UPS has outdone itself. I'm actually impressed by how massive of a failure this is, even Kiblers famous crates are no match! INSURE YOUR STUFF FOLKS!

Once a UPS clerk would not ship a rifle because she asked if it was unique or one of a kind. I had to convince her that it was a replica and could be replaced.
