After removing the Fourstock from the barrel by pulling the forward pin I noticed no pin for the rear but a wood dowel inside without a way to attach it to stock. Anyone else with a Mowrey noticed this and what is a better way to secure stock, have my ideas but just lookin for other ideas.

Looking to buy Mowrey Gun Works 12ga Shotgun. I’m not too particular on condition so long as its original. Thanks in advance.
