    Third pattern brown bess?

    Is this a third pattern brown Bess (India Pattern) or a Tower 1839 musket? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Tower lock

    Purchased this lock last fall. It was on a table with a bunch of other ones. Thought it was a modern reproduction until i found the crown stamp on the back side. No half cock. Similar to picture of 1803 tower pistol.
