From the Netherlands comes my recent acquisition: a pre-1715 Dutch military musket that was altered into a half-stock sporting piece at some point later in the century, either in Holland itself or one of the German states. Lovely antler and/or bone accents, and a unique rear sight! .75 cal, 42” barrel. Shootable - the lock functions and sparks great and the bore has only slight pitting.

Put some rounds out. Paper cartridges, .715 ball, 80 grains 2F, 25 yards. The lower left hits were from a table top rest. The upper three were off-hand with a different sight picture. Some load tinkering is called for....
