Looking to purchase either a 10 or 12 gauge SxS and would like some info as to which one of these would be my better choice. I would use it for everything from small game to waterfoul. Any info with experience of either one would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...AKhunter

Since either one can be loaded down the only real considerations are the weight as opposed to the maximum load. I doubt it there is a lot of difference between these two gauges.

As Slamfire noted, either one can be loaded down. The 10 ga. has a slight edge for waterfowl/turkey/etc. :imo: 10 s were very popular in blackpowder times. The Pedersoli 10 ga. handles very well, more like a 12. Guess you can tell I like my 10 :winking:

AK, if you get shoutgun, make sure it can shoot steel or bismuth. I don't know many that make'em so you make have to do some looking.... traditional that is.
