I heard the a 12 gauge shotgun barrel was made for the TC Renegade. Is that so? How could that work; isn't a 1" barrel too small for a 12 gauge? Thanks for any information.

Have never heard of a .12 ga barrel for the Renegade but the New Englander is a 1" rd barrel and they make one for it.

I have a new old stock Toledo Arms 12GA barrel that was made specifically for the 1" TC Renegade and Hawken rifles. It's a half octagon/half round barrel, so the breech area would be every bit as strong as my 54 caliber barrels. I never shot it before I stopped hunting, but I have never heard of anyone that had them having a problem with them. They haven't been offered for years though, so are pretty hard to find. Took me years to find this new one.

We've talked about this several times before but
Yes Navy arms sold the Toledo 12 ga. barrels. I have been shooting one for 25 yrs. or so, shoots great, kicks hard with heavy loads because it's so light but is plenty strong and mine is 15/16" for the TC Hawken.
