Calling would be the sure answer. The only ones I have seen were 42". I bought 2 from them at Friendship a couple years ago & recently bought 3 more of them & all were 42". I recently built a Tennessee rifle with one & it weighs just 7#. I am building one with a swamped B50 barrel & will have a comparison by the end of the week.

If you haven't already purchased a Getz barrel, don't do it. Since John took over the business, I have heard more people say that they could get no response from their letters and phone calls nor could they get the barrels that they ordered. It is a shame because Getz has always made excellent barrels. If it were me, I'd order my barrel from Rice or Long Hammock. They both make excellent barrels and you are able to get your barel in a reasonable length of time. In addition, you are able to contact both of them either by mail or by phone. It seems, from what I have heard recently, that John Getz won't answer his mail nor his phone and you can't get your ordered barrel from him. I don't know what is going on there.

To be completely honest, Getz barrels are as good as any, but IMHO, not any better than most of the other brands.

The impression that I get from Don is, that John is working long hours nearly every day to fill orders. John isn't answering the phone or emails, simply because he is busy making barrels. Nothing more.

That said, anyone ordering a Getz barrel is in for a long wait. There are a few barrels available from some of the suppliers, but they seem to be few and far between.

Dixons, Buckeye barrels, or one of the larger suppliers may have something from Getz in stock, otherwise Rice, Rayl, GM, or another of the makers can supply anything anyone might want.

God bless

I've been to Getz's barrel shop a few times...I live 30 miles aways . His place is always busy filling large orders. His business isn't running for the individual order. You will get the barrel you want only if he is making a run of them. If your in a hurry your best bet is go somewhere else. I have 2 guns that came from his shop (Kits)and I had to wait for the barrels and to have the stocks cut to semi shape...he doesn't cut stocks..only makes barrels. Good with your project. SS
