After the Ottoman defeat at the Siege of Vienna in 1683, there were many captured weapons. The excellent collection at the Vienna Arsenal museum has many on display. The Turks were well regarded for their guns and especially their barrels, so some barrels were taken and stocked in the Western style. This rifle is an example of a "Türkenbeute" or Turkish Loot gun. Built by Johan Georg Bislinger of Munster from about the 1690's.

Dear Cyten. Your stock wood will hopefully go with Tobjohns parcle much delayed by ridiculous anti gun hysteria viz if it looks like a gun as in non operation film props it shares the same fate . 'Brave new world' if looks like any gun part its banned by shippers .
