Hi everyone I have some questions about the 1816 muskets.

How much variation is between a Springfield, and harpers ferry and the various contract muskets?

The comb was typical reduced on an 1816 musket, was more wood left on the stock unshared or was it just removed?

What is the average drop on these models?

Why was the comb reintroduced on the 1835 and 1840 models ?

Were the .69 caliber barrels heavier on the 22 than 16 models ?

Were there any models with a two piece trigger guard that was not riveted together ?

Thanks ! Much appreciated.
