I have a Pietta 1851 Navy brass frame .44. It's about 15 years old. I've only shot it twice, once when it was new and then again last week. The problem I have is that the take down pin in front of the cylinder comes out VERY hard. I have to get a brass punch and hit it out with a mallet. If I don't give it a good wack it won't come out. I've watched utube videos and the pin seems to come out MUCH easier than mine. Just a little tap. Is this something that gets better with time or are they building then a bit different now? :idunno:
