and then I just got a random email that said

Charlie why not give him some more time? It was only 4.5 hours from your initial post till your final. He may be working or otherwise engaged and not able to respond till the evening. Check his posts, I seem to remember him selling a few guns on here.

I'll bet that e-mail about a pistol for sale was a scam. I suspect there are folks lurking here just waiting for an opportunity to step in with an offer.
