2 Gauge smoothbore. 2 Gauge to 8 gauge.
1.319 marked, choked to .815
Seems not fired much at all. Bore is super smooth. Lock very tight. No signs say that it's been fired, powder marks, bore condition etc. Gunsmith serviced recently.
Barrel is 48 inches long and in excellent condition. Wedding ring assembly.
Original ramrod, just beautiful....
Made by George Wallis of Hull. Listed as the Most Celebrated Gunsmith of Eastern Yorkshire England, town called Hull.
A gunsmith/manufacturer of note from 1766 to 1799. Died 1802 or 1806. His son took over then to 1833.
Gun has small crack repair near breach plug. This was left on as other guns have the same repair. Seems the son when converting them to percussion, made his part was a tad too wide. This gun was updated in 1827, as noted on the butt plate, by the son in HULL.
THIS GUN WAS MADE FROM MID 1780s TO MID 1790s.
Included is two bags of tow for wadding.
Great gun at 13lbs, super condition.
Trades may be accepted, no junk,
$5800.
I have 3 gauges for sale also, starburst barrel on one of them, not punt guns or market guns, guns of the aristocrats...........Haven't listed them yet....
