I have a 20ga. tradegun and I am trying to find out if there is any choke in this bbl. Does anyone have the measurements for the different chokes, (full, mod, imp cyl)
Thanks

Many muzzleloaders with choke have jug chokes. I'd simply find out whether it's choked by running a tight jag and patch down the thing. If it's tighter at the muzzle, or if there is a looser spot a half inch below the muzzle then it gets tight again, the barrel is choked.

For a cartridge shotgun the dimensions are

Full 0.589"
IM 0.5955"
Mod 0.602"
IC 0.6085"
Cylinder 0.615"

You can only really tell if you can measure the unchoked portion to see if the muzzle is choked.

Rich mentioned the jug (Tula) choke.

There are several others. I had a smoothbore that was roughened up at the last 4 or 5 inches and that served to "drag" the wad and, supposedly, acted as a minimal choke. Had no way to compare as it came that way.
