A 225th Anniversary of the Victory at Yorktown will be celebrated this year on Oct. 19-22. Events will take place at Yorktown National Battlefield Park, Yorktown Victory Center and even Jamestown Settlement.
Oct 19: Commerative ceremonies, wreath laying ath the monument, music by the Command-in-Chief's Guard and the Old Guard Fife & Drum Corps. Fireworks. FREE.
Organizers expect over 2,000 re-enactors including real Englishmen (& Englishwomen) who will be there in their scarlet uniforms. Special presentation on Fri-Sat will be on Artillery Through the Ages.
Yorktown Victory Center will feature a new exhibit: The Legacy of Yorktown: Virginia Beckons as well as Military Interpretive Programs a Revolutionary War Encampment.
