I shot my trapper yesterday and was getting inconsistent ignition. I get decent spark and was keeping the touch hole clear. I was using 40 grs 3F for main charge and 3 F for the prime. I got to thinking that maybe the granules of 3F for the main charge were packing to tightly and 2F might work better. What do you guys shoot out of your flint trappers? This is my first flinter by the way!

I shoot 2F in most of my flintlocks, including my .32
I find it to be the most consistent.
