This is the second beaded sheath I have made. It has less beadwork and I used a rawhide drum head that someone gave me years ago. Not sure what kind of critter it came from. It's a bit thicker than deer. The painting was done with dry pigment mixed with egg white as a binder. Used spar varnish as a water proofer. The core is 8oz veggie tan, and the cuff is brain tan deer. The drops are bone. The rawhide was dyed with black walnut hulls.
