Hello from Germany!

Went out again this evening at 05:30 p.m. Same ground blind as last time. After 20 minutes I recognized a roe coming from the right side out of the beech thicket. Didn't wait and aimed at once, roe showed me his broadside and I let the PRB go out of my .50 deerhunter. After 10 minutes I went to the place of hitting. There I found cuthair and tracks, no blood. In the fresh snow there was a big track. looked like the roe was fallen down after getting hit and come up again. I followed the track in the snow. They went back in the beech thicket. Oh man was that a hard job to get through in the dark. After 20 meters I was happy. There it was lying, dead! After taking it out and checking it I saw that the PRB hit it on the left side, went through the boilerroom and exited on the right shoulder blade. Its weigth was 20 pds, so it was a small roedoe, we call it "Kitz". I used may standard charge of 75 grs WANO PP, .490 selfcast RB, 0,20mm lubed patch.

Here it is:

Waidmanns Heil! Looks like many of us are proving that patched round ball is just as good today as it was back in the 1700's.

We're supposed to get snow or freezing rain all day tomorrow. Good thing we have Monday and Tuesday to hunt!

Good luck and keep up the good hunting Kirrmeister!

Hello,

20 pds, roe kitz are not so heavy. Even the big roes have only 40 pds maximum weight field dressed!

Kirrmeister

Any hunt that ends with meat in the freezer is a good hunt. Congratulations Kirrmeister, on a good hunt and a fine meal!
