I got some for mine but have never shot them,I thought they would put a yote down pretty good is why I got them.I like the little gun ,it's about like a 22 mag on small game with prb,I bet the conical would punch pretty hard.

I'd be curious how they group as the barrel has a round ball twist that is not likely to stabilize 'em.

Maybe OK inside the limited range of the .32 though. Too far and I'd expect key-holes in the target.

Anybody? J.D.

Just last week I tried the maxi balls in my crockett. They shot just as well as round balls with the same powder charge. I was thinking about coyotes. I wanted to see if they shot well. I was happy with the results.

Hi Folks,
I make a .32 Maxi.
These are cast from an NEI 2 Cavity Iron Mould, and are the tapered Maxi. Proven shooter.
Currently I have around 100 or so sitting in a box.

Interested folks can PT me. Busy time now it's the Holidays.

Although i use TotW sometimes for supplies myself, those prices are a bit steep. Plus add Shipping and they're quite expensive.
I'm unsure if the .32's are pre-lubed, but they're currently listed on TotW at $8.99 for 20.
Mine, un-lubed for 50 is 1/3 less than that price.

Casting is a Hobby for me, but my time is worth atleast a little something.

Again, please feel free to PT me with any questions regarding these, or other projectiles.

Happy Holidays!!

Check Gunbroker, there is a guy from Iowa who casts them for both .32 and .36 unlubed, eather caliber, $25 for a USPS box shipped. Can't beat the price and they are great!

No problems to date and they shoot great. Pain in the ass to lube though with the commercial runny yellow stuff. He also sells bricks of black powder lube using his own formula. I ordered, and received this Monday, some of the lube. I plan to put the bullets in a container then add the the warmed lube. When it sets I will go ahead and "cut" the maxi balls out to shoot. :stir:
Ask and he may lube them for you for an additional cost?

Well I have been to several Hardware and Walmart style stores and unable to find anything to "cut" the .32 and .36 bullets in my lube pan. I even went to an auto parts store looking for plastic or rubber tubing. Anyone have a suggestion? Hand lubing in winter may be a pain but in the heat of summer........ :surrender:

Have you tried simply pushing out the bullets with your fingers. Most blackpowder lubes are soft enough to allow this. Some lubes tend to break up as they are too brittle. Sometimes you can heat up your lube and pour around the bullits and them watch the temperture not too hot or too cold and it makes them a lot easier to push out. You can go to several cast bullet web sites and they have stickies that show how to do this maybe even u-tube.

I don't have a caliper, it was "borrowed" and not returned. I am close to Greenville on 16 acres of game blessed land. How about you?

I hadn't thought of youtube, thanks for the suggestion.

I'm 60 miles northwest of Bham, and northwest of Jasper. I will look through my stuff for something to make one. A rifle case like the 30/06 can probably be necked up a little and the side cut out to remove bullets. Old cases make good cutters for cutting cast bullets from lube. They just need to have the necks sized a few thou larger than the bullets you are lubing.

That is a Super idea. A 38-55 case should work for the .36. Now about the .32....... Thanks for the idea. And I will bet the 9.3x62 ought to work for the .32 too. Hmmmmm
