How many shots do you get before your accuracy falls off? I started getting a couple flyers after 6 shots with no swabbing between.
I use 1-1/2 buckshot.Question. Do you .32 shooters use #0 buckshot? I use #000 in my .36.
I have been able to shoot my 32s with accuracy pretty much as long as I want, no swabbing per say, but with the roundball wrapped in a fairly wet patch. With the 12 to 15 grain of 3F or 4F powder charges I typically use in my 32 caliber squirrel guns, that a wet patch will change things up if it sits on the powder for even a short length of time. I have just learned to use a .375” diameter dry hard felt wad over the powder. How many shots do you get before your accuracy falls off? I cast my own balls for my .32's and .36's.Question. Do you .32 shooters use #0 buckshot? I use #000 in my .36.
I sure envy you. After three shots with any of my rifles I’m beating the ramrod down with a sledge hammer.I never swab the bore until time to head home. And accuracy from the 30th shot is the same as the 1st one from a clean bore.
I use Falkenberry Juice, and NEVER have to swab. I have fired over 30 times and the last ball goes down as easily as the first. I still have two bottles left. Unfortunately, it's not sold any more. When it runs out, I think I will try Ole Griz. It's sold through the Hawken Shop, but you may be able to find it elsewhere.I sure envy you. I'm still experimenting with my Crockett rifle, but I have found that what seems to be a result of "fouling" seems very sensitive to the diameter of the jag you're using. Also, sensitive to the patch thickness and lube. I'm currently using 0.310" ball, 0.015" patch (square ticking), and olive oil lube. But I just took a bit more off my jag diameter, and that helps both with cleaning and loading. Using Schuetzen 3F powder.I sure envy you.
