Tick - Tock

Just four (4) weeks until Dixon's 2014 Muzzle Loading Fair (starts on Friday the 25th of July, in Kempton PA, just a hair west of Allentown).

For any within a days drive or any that have never been this is one of the "Black-powder Pilgrimages" that is required for a front stuffer to get into ML Heaven

Just about every aspect of muzzle loading and the culture around it is well represented plus numerous "experts in the field" will be there giving talks or demonstrations (as an example, Jason from Rice barrels is giving a seminar on barrel twist).

Plus all the vendors who are anyone (plus gun builders, horn builders etc etc) will be there too selling their products/creations/art work.

You can check out the this years offerings here (2014 Fair) - admittance is free, there is a small charge for parking.

Hope to see you there (my hotel room for the weekend has been booked for a few months now)

P.S. If you can spend a night or two there is a special display at the Reading Museum (about 1/2 hour drive from Dixon's) which is displaying about 70 Rifles (Kentucky's) from the Kindig Collection. For those who don't have access to original's, this could give you a look at more than you would see in a lifetime - might round out the weekend nicely...

They used to publish a list of the vendors attending but I could not find that. Does anyone know if there is a list and I missed it?? Also anyone heard if Tip Curtis is going to attend this year?

Thanks,

Dave
