That's a nice looking pistol.
I guess that I should have bought
one of the leftovers several years
ago when I had the chance, but the
grip was a little too uncomfortable
for me.
How did shooting it work out for you?

I found that like my H&A .45 underhammer rifle it takes a .433 ball a .440 is way to tight!! It will shoot good all day with a load of Goex 3f (25-30 gr)

Spud, it is good to see that somebody else is a Minuteman "boot pistol" shooter. I too have one and it is very enjoyable. Found out the hard way about the .440 balls so now all I use in it are the .433s.

The trigger-pull is nice and crisp but the overtravel is terrible. Been wracking the oatmeal I use for brains to try and come up with a practical overtravel stop for the trigger. Any ideas?

Your pistol does not appear to have a flashguard around the nipple as mine does. I wonder if it is an item that was removed from yours, or was added to mine before I got it. I never understood the reason mine has one since the hammer nose fully encloses the nipple when it is down (up?).
