.490 bag molds

Hi All:
Does any one know of a source for a .490 round ball bag mold. I am looking for one for my possibles bag and cannot find one. T.O.W. lists a 50 caliber round ball bag mold but the diameter that they have listed is .509.

Any help would be great :bow:

Check with Rapine. They make bag molds in all sorts of sizes.

the adress is correct, but they have no email, only fax or phone. I had ordered a nice .490 bag mould for about $ 70,-.

Hi Bob,

Rapine didn't have any on-hand when I checked, but supposedly he's still willing to make them. Here's a link to the bag molds on Smiling Fox Forge. I bought one of their bag molds at a reenactment and recently got a Lee pot to melt lead, but haven't come up with the lead yet (my dentist is already giving his away to someone else). He also makes them in brass, which are a little cheaper.

I will try to contact Rapine if they do not have it then I will go the Smiling Fox Forge route. I want only one mold for all my shooting and I want to be able to demonstrait molding balls over a fire ala 1790's long hunter style. :v

the rapine mould will do you well. Ordered mine a while ago been casting with it weekly since. took about 3 weeks to get from being made to my door.
