This horn is an homage to my ancestor William G. Shreckengost who built hundreds of longrifles between 1836 and 1892. It incorporates elements from the inlays on his rifles.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm still learning and hope to be able to watch someone really talented make horns and learn from them. I do have a rifle made by William Shreckengost. One of my most treasured things.

Thanks to all. I'm not happy with how the Eagle turned out. I should have taken more time and done it exactly like the one on the crossed arrows rifle (as we call it). Of the 45 rifles I've seen, it is the only one with an eagle on it.
