4th of July at Mount Vernon

Spent the 4th as a soldier in the 1st Virginia Regt usually does, shooting my 2nd Model Short Land Pattern Brown Bess at General Washington’s house. Was a very hot day but thousands of folks came to the celebration, great time and place for a little black powder demonstration

By demonstrating our game is how we can tell people that we are here, and that they also can join.There is a lot to be learned about how this country came to be by playing the games we play. Our country has both a good past and some not so good past. It is up to us to learn from it and to spread the knowledge in a fun way rather than shouting at people in rage as so often is happening today.
