.50 Caliber Percussion Southern Style Rifle. Unknown builder. Nicely figured curly maple stock, with a darker finish which gives a good look for the style of rifle. Brass mounted, which is a nice change from the current popularity of iron mounting. Great bore, 39-1/8" Barrel, 7/8" across. LOP 14-7/16", Rifle weighs 7lbs 6oz. Fine buckhorn sights with silver blade. I believe the lock is a small Siler based on appearance and dimensions. This is a really nice rifle that doesn't suffer from the heavy barrel weight of a lot of others in this style.
