Sorry no pictures yet
This evening was checking a feeder
wind in my favor
walked up on the biggest hog I have ever had in my sights
moved into a little over 30 yards
big enough I thought I was shooting at the broad side of a barn
I will say I believe this one will go over 400lbs
he is in a ditch waiting for first light and some muscles to get him out and get pictures

I love going after them with a front stuffer ! Getting up close to 30 yds. can often be tough to do....he must have been concentrating on the dinner in front of him. Good luck getting his out of there...I know that can be a lot of work sometimes..

A muzzleloader works just fine on hogs, as you discovered. Still I'd likely carry a pistol, cap or flint, for insurance.
