apparently Hornady is discontinuing the 54 cal Great Plains conical. They shoot so well in my TC Hawken, too. I did a preliminary search yesterday and I’m coming up empty for options. To be clear, PRB in this gun and caliber is redundant for me. I already have a 50 cal dedicated PRB shooter. This one was bought strictly for heavy conicals. Anybody have any optiins for this?

The Lyman 548657 Plains Bullet 54 cal mold drops a bullet that is a virtual twin. It lacks the tiny little shallow cup in the base, but I haven't found that to be a game changer. If you don't cast yourself, I'm sure you can find a custom caster who will turn some out for you.
