I shot the Lyman Plains Pistol I built back in January yesterday. With a PRB and 40 grains of 2F Goex it shot almost 12 inches high at 25 yards. I was using a .530" ball and pillow ticking patches.
Anyone want to share a favorite load? Has Anyone shot any conicals?

Very fun gun to shoot. Very loud lotsa smoke and almost no recoil

I have the Traditions Kentucky pistol, which is similar to yours. To hit point of aim at 25 yards, I use 25 gr of 2f pyrodex, for 100 yard shooting I go to 40 gr. 40 grains at 25 yards hits about 8 inches high , and is about 6 inches low at 100. 25 grains is about right on at 25 yards, but at 100 yards about 2 feet low.

Mine is dead on at 25 yards with 35 grains of Goex 3f. .530 ball, and pillow ticking lubed with olive oil/beeswax.
