SOLD 54 TC Renegade

A decent 54 Renegade percussion that I bought from a member this November. Was going to use it for ML season but never got out. Did not even get a chance to shoot it but did clean it. Bore is good. Previous owner said it had some minor spots of frost. Don't have a scope but after cleaning, if spots still there I can't see them with bore light. Has some minor scratches on the wood and metal. $385 shipped, USPS money order. FFL dealer said that because of state laws ML guns must go through FFL dealer in states of Calif. , Haw. , ILL. , NJ. , NY. , RI. , Tenn. , Mich. , Mass. I know ML are considered firearms in NY but do not know about the other states. Be sure you know the laws - don't want to get anyone in trouble. PM with any questions or interest. Understand what nit wit is saying but the way things are changing with gun control laws in different states I will stick with what I said in my original post to cover myself. In NYS there is a penal law ( can't remember the # ) that has made ML a firearm. If and when the state sets up a background check( can't use NCIS because it is national ) ML purchase will require a background check. Sell as you like, it’s your gun. I’m going through this right now trying to get a flintlock pistol off my NYS pistol permit. It can be sold without ffl, per my local gun shop, bit the sheriffs department isn’t sure how to send the paperwork to the NYS Police without an ffl involved, to have it removed from my permit.

Pretty sad when the laws are so screwed up, the average person can’t make heads or tails of them. Have not heard that NYS was looking to create their own check system similar to NICS. Doesn’t surprise me though, as NYS sure loves it’s bureaucracy.

You can ship a rifle direct in NYS, not a ML handgun. NYC is different.

"We ship directly to customer's doors throughout the United States, except for customers in New Jersey, Illinois, Washington D.C. & New York City, as well as all pistol orders within New York State and Massachusetts."

They didn't as far as I know. I just purchased an 1860 Army a couple months back and it came straight to the house. Our gun laws in TN are pretty good. We're still working on full Const. Carry and there are some old laws that need to be repealed to mirror the U.S. Const. but for the most part, things are getting better. BP guns are even legal for non-violent felons. I'm constantly in touch with TFA, so if TN has made BP arms an FFL item, it's news to me.

I bought a long gun at a gunshow in Arkansas about 12-13 years ago from a dealer from Tennessee. He took my fingerprints - as per Tenn. law he said (I never heard of such a thing so I almost backed out of the sale). IIRC I looked it up on the web and it was legit. Any other states take fingerprints for a gun sale?

Midway USA shipped right to my door, but they won't ship to places like Hawaii, California, etc. because of those states' gun laws consider ML to be firearms despite what Federal law says. Some like Cabela's and Bass Pro won't sell via internet - in-store purchases only no matter where one lives. I started to buy a C&B revolver from Classic Firearms, but they would not ship to me directly - insisted on going through an FFL regardless of the state (probably receiving pressure from ATF or just tired of the hassle of different shipping laws for different states).

should not give legal advice if you dont know what you are saying. 'the times they are a changin ' there are several states that consider our guns the same as modern. must go to f.f.l. . this is not federal law , but a state law. sadly that might change soon to the federal level, anyway i hope no one ever takes legal advice from any forum w/o checking with those who really know. could end badly.
