Just opened up the cylinder mouths to .375 with a chucking reamer and need to find some larger balls to fit. This should better accommodate the barrel groove diameter of the same width. It used to be about .0015 tighter in the chamber mouths than the barrel groove. Curious to see if it made any difference in the accuracy.
Smallest Lee mold I can find is .380, wonder how that will work? Mike D.
 
On c&b revolvers the ball has to be oversize for the chamber mouth. When a ball is seated, it has to be large enough for a "lead ring" to form at the mouth. This assures a proper and tight fit of the ball and helps prevent flash-overs from chamber to chamber. A .380" ball would be minimum but should work okay.
