80grns 3F seems to be the magic charge for shot loads in GM .62 smoothies...congratulations on the first outing!

Did you get out today for the dove opener? I had a nice afternoon with the Pedersoli 10 gauge.

Congrats on you first bird. How big are these things? #5 shot seems a little large to me for quail but if it works don't mess with it. :hatsoff:

# 5 is my all around shot for upland game.
We (Rebel ) and I were mainly after grouse or squirrel, but the quail had to do  Never saw the bigger bird or a tree rat.Just to get outdoors was a treat in this fall like weather we are having here on the left coast of Oreegun. Feels like it should be opening day of deer season, but that will have to wait till Oct.4
