Someone recently mentioned the use of a modern barrel having been used in a build. I cannot find that post no matter how I word my search. Help please.

There is currently a “canoe” gun for sale in the classifieds made from old Winchester barrel.
That's mine and it's still for sale. What questions do you have?
My friend Joe has built several B/P shotguns around modern barrels. He cut off the breech leaving enough to tap for a breech plug and made a gun, on his flintlock turkey gun he used a simple drilled touch hole, the barrel wasn't thick enough for a threaded liner.
