Logcutter, that deer was taken in Greene County, 2A

Greene County, I've never been there. That's about as far south as you can get and still be in Pa. I hunt far north of there. Venango county, WMU 1B some times and most often Warren County, WMU 2F. If you ever have the chance come up and hunt in the Allegheny National Forest. I hunted quite a bit this year and never saw another hunter in the woods up there.

Any deer taken with a flintlock is a "trophy". Your rifle is very good looking and you did a fine job on it. Thanks for a very interesting story.

That sounds pretty nice, Logcutter. I do love PA, and plan to hunt there for years to come. I love that you have a flintlock only season there. I wish other states would do the same.

Truth be told, my buddies and I only saw one other hunter the whole time we hunted in 2A.
