A new southern Rifle

This is a simple southern style that I just finished.
38" 50 cal swamped GM. Large Siler.. I know. the next one will be a more PC lock :v This one is plain..no inlays.
Steel furniture.
The steel was browned and then boiled to a blackish/gray finish.
It lets the beautiful wood speak for it's self.
Needs some more BLO and then the wood will shine.

Looking good hoop she shoots as good as she looks. I still havent shot the pistol yet but I did post a shot with my musketand new horn.

She has a Green Mt .50 swamped.
They make nice barrels.
Both front and rear sight are drift adjustable.
Vent liner is high, centered on the pan.
Has a little cast off. LOP is 13-3/4" light weight at 6.5lb.
I am holding it in my lap. There are a few mistakes, but what the heck.
It's handmade/assembled out of parts.... for the real purists out there. :surrender:

I am here to say that OldArmy's guns SHOOT like a dream, are very well balanced,and I am proud to be the owner of one that he recently posted in the Classifieds in the forum. Ain't nobody going to get thrown out of rendezvous for being "non-PC" for toting one of his guns, either!
