Mr. Ellerby, I purchased this knife at the Kansas Muzzleloading Association Convention last weekend. I believe this is your mark on the blade. Could you shed any light on or not you made this knife? Approximately how long ago? Did you make the sheath as well? I appreciate your response. I really like the blade - it is a razor! Thanks in advance! I remain your humble servant,

Just Dave

Hi Dave. I could only get a glance at it before it was all covered with adds. It is one of my knives, but the sheath is not, unless someone added the paint work. My guess is that Photobucket is blocking the url with these adds. They really suck. If the blade shows file teeth, it is a Nicholson or Simmonds file from the late nineties to about 2007/2008. If no teeth show, it is 01 steel from about 2007/2008 on.

You have a treasure. I have 3 of Wicks knives. They are amazing.

yea photo bucket used to be a good site for posting pictures, but now I haven't used it for over a year! :idunno:

Wick, I am sorry about the photos. There are teeth on the blade, so it is a file. It is a beautiful blade and I am pleased and proud to own it. The sheath is well made and whoever added the faux quillwork did a great job. Thank you for confirming your work. I appreciate it. Just Dave
