I’ve made a few of these for protection in transit to the range or where ever.
First get a pair of old trousers, local charity shop or off the clothes line of a tall anti-firearms fanatic (just kidding, I’m law abiding, mostly).
Turn them so one leg is inside the other, do some fancy stitching top and bottom and you have a relatively soft gun bag, and it has pockets as well.
Avoid garments with riveted pockets!!
