A lot of folks here hunt coyote, bobcats and such. My question is, when you shoot one, what do you do with it? Do you mount the animals? Do you tan or sell the hydes? Do you eat the animal?

I have hunted squirrel, dove, deer and so forth, but never any coyotes or bobcats and probably won't get the opportunity. I am just curious...

I hunted the outskirts of a sheep farm for deer and coyotes. The Coyotes I killed the farmer had a trapper friend that I gave them to.

In Alberta it is illegal to let the skin of a coyote go t waste. You can freeze them and sell them whole to a fur buyer or skin them out for a better price.

This being said I come accross a lot of coyote carcasses that have been left to rot. Most likely it is by the local land owners who are allowed to shoot coyotes to protect their domestic animals.

don't they eat cats and k-9's in china....can't be to bad tasting....just thought and .02..........bob

The way that the 'yotees stink in this area, I couldn't see eating one. But maybe with a little barbeque sauce.......... :rotf:
