Riarcher pointed me in the direction of this informative site. Figured I'd register and look forward to learnin a thing or two here.

I've been burnin black powder in various guns since 1977 and its probaby my most favorate thing to do. :)

Welcome Swamp Rat,

This is a great site just found it myself a few days ago.

A big Welcome to you.
I've been around to other sites and I honestly think this is the best one going.
It is somewhat layed back in style and friendly.
We also (as I'm sure you noticed) have a large number of people who are quite knowledgeable in all areas dealing with Black Powder and reenacting, so if you have any questions feel free to ask. If you have any knowledge or opnions, feel free to jump in.

Swamp Rat? (sounds like an ATV! :haha:)
Welcome indeed. Think you'll like it here. Friendly folks and a few "entertainers" as well. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
How'd you make out on that "stock prob." with the 1792 Contract Rifle you're building?
Gary

Swamp Rat: Welcome to our growing camp, and we still have plenty of room for more. I'm located on the other side of the Rocky Mountains (Oregon). The smell of black powder in the morning, that's a great way to start the day. Take care, Mtn-Man2u :)
