Adding a cheek piece to a reproduction longrifle?

Hopefully this is the right forum for this question.

Is there anyway to 'tastefully' add a cheek piece to a reproduction longrifle that does not have one? Looking at maybe buying a Pedersoli Kentucky or Penn. flinter. the roman nose buttstock is very narrow and I don't think there is enough wood to carve one on the stock. Maybe add a bone cheek piece? Any thoughts?

My first question would be is do you need the cheek piece for a good sight picture or is it because you like the looks of a cheek piece. If it is for looks, I don't know an easy way to add one. If it was me, I might add something made of leather that could be wrapped around the stock. Adding wood could look out of place on that stock design.

I'd say, you can restock the rifle with a cheek pad...
but adding a wooden cheek pad to the existing stock, would require fitting and gluing, so you're looking at a re-stain of a very dark color to cover the differences in the wood of the stock vs the wood of the added cheek pad...
OR..., you could apply a modern, old style, cheek pad of leather, which will allow you to shoot, but won't alter the stock, and is probably the least troublesome option, though not "authentic". https://www.amazon.com/warreplica-Garand-Leather-Sniper-Rifle/dp/B00NPWITVC

(IMO) You should shoot one before you purchase. My first build was a Roman nose and I love the look, but shooting is another issue. It shoots well, but whacks me in the cheek with the comb. Mine is only 45 cal so we are not talking about a big recoil. If you really want the cheek piece ( and it should have one) select another maker. A add on cheek piece will look like an add on cheek piece and you will not be happy.

Admittedly it is for looks only. While practical, the leather tie on pads are not what I'm looking for. Was hoping someone had a solution (even though I realized that there is not one). The replies I've gotten so far confirm what I suspected. Darn.
