...well, almost...got up at first light and it was pouring rain...hadn't been able to shoot a ML for 6 weeks so I was going no matter what !

Got to the range early, had it to myself of course, backed the blazer up under the overhang of the pole shelter, set my stuff up on a table, walked the targets out with an umbrella (traditional golf umbrella) and proceeded to put forty .490's downrange in total comfort...the heavy, wet air mass kept the clouds of smoke generally all around the shooting area...it was great !! :: :: ::

What are ya doing with rain? WHAT is rain? Been so long since we've had any, i forget. We surely do need some rain, and bad. It is really dry here, and getting worse every day. Been in a drought situation for the past few years now. Going to be a real bad fire season i'm a thinkin'. Bottle some of that rain up and ship it our way. We'll send ya some nice wind in exchange. :haha: :haha:

Rebel, we have had so much rain that they are saying the farm production will be down! It isn't often that you hear a farmer complain because of too much rain. Heck, we seldom hear a farmer complain period! :winking:

Hey Dave, what's a farmer? The government, in all it's dumbfounded wisdom, tried to put an end to them around here by cutting off their irrigation water 2 years ago, and limiting it to them last year. All because of some sucker fish that they think must be too dumb to swim up one of the rivers that feeds the lake if the water in the lake gets too low, which it never has. Man i hate enviromentalist extremists, and animal rights activists, you know the PITA (Pain in the a**) people. We got less rights in this country anymore than some dumb fish. Pretty sorry state of affairs.

Yeah- here too - as of yesterday, 385 fires in the Province compared to 56 last year same time & last year was the worse in decades. People being evacuated in quite a number of places now.

Ahhhhhhh rain
the best hunt I think I was ever on was in the middle of a blizzard. I had at that time a new rifle. My wife had bought it for me used for our anniversary, I still have it today and shoot it often its a Carolina made by Hershel house. Anyways there was no wind but the snow was silver dollar size and coming down hard. A friend of mine and I were doing a primitive elk hunt and had moved into an aspen thicket that was about 1/2 mile across surrounded by pines. I think we were both caught up in the seen, you just couldn

Hey Guys,

Back here in WV we've had flood after flood FEMA bought a whole town out and they all moved the town to higher ground!

We just had the wettest May in history and last year we had the wettest year in recorded history. 2 years ago we had just ended a 3 year drought.

I told the better half that it was going to do that. 3 or 4 years ago Texas and all of the Southwest got flooded during our drought!
Go Figure!
