i would like to take a count of members who live in which state or country and do a tally of where each of ya guys and gals live....musketman did this once and i updated it once also bout 9 months ago....i would like to update it again....but there is alot of members that do not have there home state or country they live in on there profile....so i'm asking those of ya that don't have this in there profile to please put it in there so i can git all of our members counted....since i joined a little over a year ago we had over 3000 new members sign up :thumbsup:....and i also ask that any new members that sign up from now till the end of the month when i post the new results that you pm me with your state yer in as it would be hard fer me to know who signs up from now till then....thank you all..................bob

Bob, FWIW, don't overlook the fact that some people may not wish to mention their location for whatever reason...and should not be made to feel that they should or must.

A poll listing of states would be better as it would protect privacy, etc.

With the price of fuel today a thief would be better off getting a job and buying a GPR than driving across two states to steal the average forum member's popgun!

The "powers that be" have bigger worries than the members of this forum. There are some words you can type into a google search that will get you some really scarey hits. There are people way stranger than us out here!!

If having people know what "state" you live in is a major concern, you probably shouldn't be accessing the internet at all. :haha:

Seriously, it is voluntary and we'll do a poll very soon to make it anonymous, keeping mind that a very small percentage of our members will participate so the data gathered will be useless. Only about ten percent of our members participate in the polls. :boohoo:

Bob- like oomcurt's thread on 'where do you live', :imo: it's a good idea to have a periodic listing somewhere for a lot of reasons besides just curiosity... Might be the difference getting a newbie started out "right", finding a range or hunting buddy, finding that local resource for skins/parts/tools/stuff, visiting or traveling? might be a friend to spend an evening with in a strange city, or go out shooting with when you can't bring your own gear.

If one was to get inside these hills I guess it would fizzle out after destroying everything in it's path.

Only about ten percent of our members participate in the polls.

Every once in a while I try to participate in a poll only to be informed that a vote has already been received from my IP. I don't attempt to participate in every one because so far my votes or answers, depending on the poll, have not counted. I got the same result to the current poll; so to whom it may concern I'm from the Keystone State, that's the same state whose NFL teams lost five conference championship games and one Superbowl in the last four years.
