I see I'm not the only one to just get a new Lyman GPR 54. Mine came in a couple days ago (my first BP rifle) and I wanted to take my son out this morning deer hunting with it (BP deer season) .. so we slipped out on Friday afternoon and shot it enough to know where the ball is gonna go. Put the rear sight right smack dab in the middle of the barrel and about halfway up, and with 95 grains of FFF it fell right in at 100 and a couple or three inches high at 50. This morning I went with my son to a stand where I told him he couldn't shoot any further than 40 yards (he was hittin' 100% kill zone at 50). We didn't see one, but I did let him pop a squirrel for supper on the way out. :)

Anyway, I'm looking forward to us having some quality time with this GPR ... and on the range too, to see how it's gonna shoot with some tweaking.

I've got a GPR in .50. I love it. I'm on a mission. I'm gonna try to wear it out.

Cheers!
