This weapon is a breechloader, but the concept is old. I just received my blowgun from Cheaper Than Dirt catalogue. I had some fun this evening learning to shoot the thing. It isn't hard to shoot, but it is not as accurate as I had hoped and it is not very powerful. The first thing I learned is that even though I am right handed my left eye is dominant. When triangulating with both eyes open my shots would group to the right of where I thought I was aiming. Also I would see the dart go straight away from my left eye to the target. with some experimenting I got the group centered sometimes. I bought it as something to do in the evenings to keep my shooting eye sharp when I am at my mum in law's house during the week while working. Also it helps in working off the blowhard problem without bragging for hours to someone who is not interested. If this is not an appropriate weapon for discussion here, just say so and I will never mention it again. Thanks.
God bless y'all

beleave it or not....i still have mine i bought back in 1976 when i was like 25 ::....i'll be 43 in oct :shocking:....i still shoot it today and have a ton of fun with it even still....tree rats are good with it....take the size of the deer and an arrow now take the dart and the size of the tree rat....size ratio would be close....hit them in the lungs and there going down like a deer with an arrow....i'll get some pics...................bob

[Good practice for pointing a smoothbore on target.]

you hit the nail on the head. That is exactly why I bought it.
