I was lent this under hammer to shoot.
Thought you all would be interested in seeing some pics of it.
It was made by Mr. Wayne Chenney from Northern New Hampshire.
All the parts seem to be homemade, except for the barrel.
serial number 003
The owner tells me it's a salvaged Rugger barrel.

Yessir...that is some mighty nice work!
let us know how she shoots!
wHAT CALIBER IS IT???
That make me want to build one...but I aint got the Time or materials....think I could contact him and persuade him to build me one????

it's a .45 cal.
I am going to shoot it on Sunday..
The builder has long since passed away.
The piece isn't dated, but the owner has had it for many years.
It's very cool. Wish I had the metal working skills to build it.

There is a large machine screw that hold the bottom front part of the trigger assembly on. It's in that Hump of metal right behind the nipple.
I think it's drilled through the breech/ blind taped and holds the top strap in place
The trigger guard holds the back of the assembly.
I would take it all apart and post pics if it was mine..
It's not and I would hate to break anything

Very clever design and nice workmanship. Is that lower bar/spring assembly the trigger return spring?

Could someone be so kind as to email that picture as an attachment to me? At home the computer monitor is on it's last leg and is too dark to see anything and the work computer filters out muzzleloading forum. Thanks.
