I just received the Lyman Trade Rifle I ordered and I couldn't be more pleased. My very first muzzleloader was a Trade Rifle .50 cal I ordered from DGW back in '96 IIRC. It was later stolen.
This one's a .54 cal in essentially new condition. It's nothing fancy, but I feel like I'm welcoming back an old friend. I might even name this one.

I have one that's a late 80's build. It is still in the original packaging and never been fired. Why? it took a back seat to my first Tennessee Mountain Rifle. You all have me interested in revisiting it next time i visit the homestead.

By all means name it!
Make and model say what it is. The name brings with it, meaning.
Mine are all ladies, but I don't use human names.
My unmentionable is Calico.
My laminate Hawken is Autumn.
Working on names for my Renegades. Takes a bit of time, but it'll come.

Recividism seems quite common among gun owners........ :ghostly:

There's at least four guns I bought for the 2nd time - and one even had the same SN ! ! (go figure)
