Went to the Anasazi Tree Trappers Rendezvous. 25 miles North on Rt. 18 out of St George, UT on April 22- April 28. This was a very well run and fun Rendezvous. The local club has a 1/4 section site and has done all kinds of improvements. Great welcoming folks, super site and LOTS of events - rifle walk, pistol walk, smoothbore, shotgun, archery walk, lance throw, knife & hawk throw & various skill demos through the Rendezvous. :thumbsup:
They also host the Annual Utah State Knife & Hawk throw in addition their own K&H throw. Heck - they even let be win 3rd overall in the state throw.
The weather was wet, but you know the drill - no bad rendezvous weather - just unprepared skinners. It is a long way from Grand Junction 390 Mi., but well worth the trip.
Huge traders row - I would guess around 30 trade tents. Lots of homemade plunder for prizes. Huge turnout. I WILL GO BACK TO THIS RENDEZVOUS NEXT YEAR.
AFT has a Web site - AnasaziFreeTrappers.org - Go and check them out. If you are within driving distance of this Rendezvous it is a Great one to attend.
